The floor sits higher than purpose-built EVs, battery packaging is less optimised, and there is no heat pump for cabin heating. In cooler months, the resistive heater draws noticeably more energy from the battery than heat pump-equipped competitors like the BYD ATTO 3.

   Road noise is a weak point. Even with factory-fitted tyres ranked among the quietest on the market, the cabin lets through more highway noise than competitors at this price, suggesting the sound insulation itself is the issue rather than the tyre choice.

   Interior build quality has visible inconsistencies. Button alignment on the centre console is uneven, with some controls sitting noticeably higher or lower than adjacent ones. At this budget level it may be forgivable, but it is immediately apparent when inspecting the cabin.

   Equipment is basic even for the price. The cabin lacks automatic climate control, rear AC vents, electric seats, and a power tailgate. For buyers who just need reliable daily transport this is fine, but the BYD ATTO 3 offers considerably more kit at a similar price.

   A charging port cover replacement costs around HK$3,000 including labour. Small EV-specific repairs can be surprisingly expensive, so check what the dealer warranty covers before buying.
